Alternative Proteins as Climate Action
In this closing plenary, we share highlights and key takeaways stemming from GFC 2023 and wrap with a “Path to 2030” nod to NY Climate Week and COP28. With the help of world-renowned organizations and individuals working at the intersection of climate policy and practice—many working beyond the boundaries of the alternative protein field—we’ll zero in on alternative proteins as climate action. Leaders advancing climate action from across sectors and scales will join us onstage to share new and detailed benchmarking data, indexes, and analyses that validate and make clear the massive role alternative proteins can play as a global climate solution.
This closing session serves as both a bookend and a beginning, enabling us to leave more informed and inspired, as well as recommitted to bringing all we can bear—our time, talents, influence, persistence, and shared commitment—to usher in a future where alternative proteins are no longer alternative—together.
