If you had another 24 hours with a Soul that has gone above
With someone who left you, someone whose gone, someone you love
What would you do? What would you say? Where would you go?
Gifted 24 hours, so you had more time, I’m curious to know
You’ll slip on something quick like a tracky or a vest
No time for frills, not even diamonds and no Sunday best
Portal opens, loved one appears, It’s zero zero zero one
Let’s go, get ready we have a day, it’s time to have some fun
You’ll drag them by the hand through the fields up by the lake
Past the swans, through the woods, stroke the dog, watch that snake
It’s now 3 in the morning and it’s quiet, dark and still
That was quick ..there’s 21 hours, there is more time to fill
Breakfast good lunch was better, the morning’s gone so quick
The speed we’re going because of time I feel a little sick
Forget the news, gossip, views, the time is flying fast,
No time for anger, pent up stress, so leave those in the past
You stuff cream cakes, gulp some wine with grapes and lots of cheese
Laugh and smile and laugh some more, hug, kiss and sit on knees
Your favorite show is on today, shall we watch it once again?
I’ll never forget the things you like from memory in my brain
Let’s visit Jim, you look at watch was 6 and now it’s 8
Can’t wait around there’s things to do, it’ll soon be getting late
When your time is up, no one knows, fufil your dreams, make haste
There’s no more time to add to this, so no more time to waste
You’ll look at watch and squint your eye, you then notice time
So quick the day has past, It will be eleven five nine……five nine……!!
Ding Dong….It’s finished, that is it,… it’s time for them to go
But there’s so much to see, much more to do and so much more to show
You left before I could say goodbye, I was far away not near
Some were surrounded by their folks, held hands and shed a tear
So let’s go home, I much prefer my family time and friends
Because they’re the ones that will be there, at the very end.
