We all take things for granted ..yes…really we all do
Jump out of bed, brush teeth, comb hair and maybe tie up shoe
Jump in your car, turn on some tunes, Soul music I would play
Imagine without warning they were taken all away?
Around The Corner can change your life, can change it overnight
Can’t turn back clock, or press the pause, no prepping and no fight
You cannot see until you reach, until you take the turn
Why me? Why now? You ask yourself, What lessons will I learn?
The battle starts within your Mind, it’s such a powerful tool
No Uni, 6th Form, Adult Ed …and no Prepping School
You question this, you question that, ”How am I going to cope?”
There’s friends and family and Colleagues too, above all there is Hope
There’s vast amounts of stories that are shared about the bend
Six months, Nine months, Got cut off and some have met their end
It’s all about perspective when you stop and have to think
“I ain’t too bad” compared to them, lay back “Hi Ether…Let’s Link”
We plan for our tomorrow when today we still must live
There’s Angels dressed as humans who support and Love and Give
Was due to go, ready and packed, can’t wait to walk on sand
Forgot about the turn ahead …Fate had another plan
No-one knows what’s in store, what’s waiting up ahead
No GPS, no Google maps, no dial, no A 2 Z
With twists and turns and subtle bends, there’s something you will find
