This video focuses on multiplication number fact families.
Multiplication is a commutative operation, which means that you can turn around any pair of factors in a multiplication equation and the product is the same.
e.g., 3 x 4 = 4 x 3
Division is the inverse, or opposite operation to multiplication. It reverses the effect of multiplication.
Thus, if you have memorized any multiplication fact, there are three other associated facts that use the same terms, which are effectively also known. For example:
5 x 9 = 45
9 x 5 = 45
45 / 5 = 9
45 / 9 = 5
