Design Pedagogy Encounter 6
Design Pedagogy ENCOUNTER, a crossing boundaries sharing and discussion from architects educators from Indonesia, UK, Italia, USA, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia about the challenges and ideas in managing design pedagogy in a design studio.
We are honored that many representatives across different schools of architecture in Indonesia and international guests share their experiences and design studios in this events. By doing so, we hope to learn to strategize a better and suitable design pedagogy for the Indonesian context.

Alvaro is an architect and PhD by the Architectural Association where he previously studied a masters in History and Critical Thinking in Architecture. His work has been presented in educational institutions in London, Paris, Berlin, Seville, Lagos and Algiers. Saskia Lewis is the Director of the AA Foundation Course since 2009. Her research into teaching methodologies focusses on how early-year students can be supported through lateral, cross-fertilized dialogues and processes to identify, outline and develop their own design agendas and territories.
Nils gained his Master of Architecture from Accademia di Architettura, Mendrisio, Switzerland. Since 2020, he is an architect working at Sou Fujimoto Architects in Tokyo. Prior to that, he worked at various architecture firm from Raumbureau, Zürich, Christ & Gantenbein, Basel, to Schenk Hattori Architecture Atelier, Tokyo.
