Design Pedagogy Encounter 9
Design Pedagogy ENCOUNTER, a crossing boundaries sharing and discussion from architects educators from Indonesia, UK, Italia, USA, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia about the challenges and ideas in managing design pedagogy in a design studio.
We are honored that many representatives across different schools of architecture in Indonesia and international guests share their experiences and design studios in this events. By doing so, we hope to learn to strategize a better and suitable design pedagogy for the Indonesian context.

He is an architect, Head of Architecture Department at Universitas Islam Indonesia and Head of APTARI (Indonesia's Higher Education of Architecture Association). He received a full scholarship for his doctoral degree at Kyoto University in 2013. His main research interest is in woodworking, wooden architecture, carpentry and traditions. Together with his colleagues, he initiates and developes Bambooland Indonesia and Sekolah Tukang Nusantara.
She is a lecturer, Head of Design Laboratory and Head of Study Program of Architecture at Universitas Udayana. She completed her doctorate programme at ITS Surabaya. Her dissertation is about The Territorial of Pamesuan (Balinese traditional gate). She has researched and written a lot about Balinese Traditional Architecture; wantilan, bale kulkul, paumahan (housing), bale daja (bed room), bale dangin (multi purpose room), paon (kichen), lumbung (granary), and Bali Aga settlement.
