G for audio gain.
5. Panned Audio (Audio only on one ear)
Fix: Right click, go to audio channel, check the box to have both audio channels play.
4. Inconsistent Audio Peaks.
Fix: Go through audio track when you first import. The standard for audio is between -12 and -20 dB. Click the audio track and hit G to bring up the Audio Gain menu, go to Normalize All Peaks to and put in -10 we will make sure this will stay below -12 in a minute. Then apply the Dynamics Effect on to the track, go up to the Effects Control panel and click on ‘edit’ check the box for compressor and the box for limiter. Put in about a -15 value for the compressor and -12 for the limiter. This will try to average the peaks between these two values.
3. Overpowering Music
Fix: Either use the gain menu to lower your music lower. Or you can add the dynamic effect and set the limiter somewhere between -37 and -45, this may take come playing with to find the magic number.
2. DeNoisers (Too strong)
Fix: Use a microphone other than the camera audio and if you still don’t get the best audio you can use the DeNoiser at a low percentage, somewhere between 10% and 15%.
1. Over Modulated Audio
Fix: Keep an eye on the audio meter while you’re filming. If the peaks are in the red your audio is probably over modulated. If it’s recored over modulated you may want to reshoot this.
