"man that was fun." Joe exclaimed by the time they got home that night, Demi was curled in the backseat with Ava who was sound asleep.
"Oh Joe, your so silly." Demi murmered brushing back Ava's curls.
"I haven't had this much fun in a long time, I mean I go out drinking and partying with my football buddies but this was better." Joe explained, Demi chuckled softly yawning and nestled her head against Joe's jacket that she was using as a pillow.
"I had fun to Joey." Demi mumbled sleepily, he smiled to himself no one ever called him Joey but he would let her.
"Man, I wonder if Joe realizes he missed practice." Kyle murmered, Matt shrugged smling slightly, it wasn't that big of a deal because it was off season so many of the players missed a practice or two.
"Maybe he's finally spending time with Ava." Matt murmered, Kyle paused and smiled slightly as well.
"That would be wonderful, I wonder whatever happened with that itty bitty girl that came in." Kyle said wiggling his eyebrows, they chuckled and headed out to the car.
"Joe, you missed practice." Miley scolded hurrying out to the car, Joe had Ava on one him sound asleep and hauled Demi onto his other hip, she slumped against him deep asleep.
"I was doing something more important." Joe announced, Miley's mouth dropped in surprise and took the bag he handed her.
"Wow." She breathed as he hurried past into the house with his burdens.
"Need any help?" Kevin asked from the kitchen as they all watched with their mouths hanging open.
"I'm good thanks, goodnight." Joe called back, Denise had a huge smile on her face and hugged Paul tightly.
"I think we're finally getting him back." She murmered happily, Paul chuckled kissing the top of her head.
"Daddy." Ava mumbled as he pulled off her clothes and put her nightgown on.
"yess sweetie?" Joe murmered kissing her forhead.
"i love you." She said smiling up at him, Joe held his breath her smile was so much like Ashley's and smiled tenderly.
"I love you too sweetie." Joe murmered, turning off her light he hurried to his room down the hall where Demi was still curled in a ball sound asleep.
"Joe, don't you think Demi should sleep in the guest room?" Nick asked leaning against the wall watching him.
"Oh hush, dude She's so asleep its like she's dead." Joe chuckled shaking his head slightly.
"It hasn't stopped me before with Miley." Nick replied winking at him, joe shuddered and shut the door in his face.
"Your a sick kid Nicholas." JOe called out, Nick chuckled and headed to his room where Miley was pacing anxiously.
"There you are!" She said jumping up, Nick raised his eyebrows laughing softly.
"Did you miss me?" he murmered easing the door shut behind him, Miley headed towards him with a smirk on her face.
"oh yes, let me show you." Miley murmered, Nick smiled slightly. Miley wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.
Joe stared down at Demi unsure what to do next, shrugging he pulled off her clothes chuckling at the sight of her butterfly bra and pantie set. Demi yawned stretching and he jumped back, hurrying to his closet he riffled around sighing when all he saw was one of his old jerseys shrugging he pulled it over her and grinned. He tucked her under the blankets then undressed himself and snuggled down beside her. Demi felt so warm and instinctively burrowing towards the warmth.
"Daddy." Ava whispered, Joe looked up from the book he was reading and stretched looking at the clock. With Demi snuggled against him he had been unable to get any sleep.
"Ava, its 2am. Come here." He murmered, Ava ran over staring in surprise at Demi.
"Can I sleep in here with you two?" she asked hopefully, Joe sighed and pulled her up onto the bed.
"Just this night alright," Joe scolded smiling gently, Ava nodded and snuggled under the blankets between them.
"Joe." Denise said knocking softly, Joe groaned, he curled his body around Ava and Demi snuggling them close. Denise sighed pushing the door open and walked towards the bed staring stunned. Grinning to herself she grabbed her camera and quickly snapped a picture of them they were too adorable.
"Sorry Mr. Lewis but Joe's sleeping he was busy at the zoo with Ava today." Denise explained when she got back to the phone.
"That sounds fun, well will you have him call me first thing tomorrow morning?" he asked, Denise said she would let him know and they hung up.
"What did he say?" Kevin asked looking over at his mom concerned.
"no, just that Joe needs to call him tomorrow. Oh and look at this." Denise said holding up the camera, Kevin looked and chuckled.
"They are cute together." He stated, stretching he headed up the stairs.
"night." he murmered, she grabbed her coffee and headed over to Paul who was sprawled on the couch.
"Hmm." Demi sighed turning, she was so warm. her eyes popped open when she felt a little bed next to her and something heavy over her body.
"shh." Joe murmered, holding her.
