Interest Rate Cuts Have Arrived! More Coming
As I had predicted we received our first interest rate cut in 4 years when the BOC cut rates by 25 basis points on June 5. The consensus among economists is that we will get two more cuts before the end of the year and a more aggressive series of cuts in the first half of 2025. I would expect both prices and activity to increase as we move into late Fall and the Spring 2025 market to be very active with both sales and price increases across all product types.
