No Contact: Defenses Against Narcissism Series. The eighth defense against narcissistic abuse is not always doable (for example, co-parenting prevents this), but going no contact is the best defense if you can do it. Narcissists will always try to Hoover you back in if they can manage it because they used you before and will want to use you again. Calls, texts, emails, and door knocks all can be ignored. Only if they stalk you and try to confront you in public might you have to respond and then be firm about your commitment to seek legal remedies if and when you deem the situation unsafe.
Narcissism is the biggest opposing force to rights. Once people find themselves in a narcissistic relationship, they'll experience emotional and verbal (sometimes physical or sexual) abuse. Narcissists leach off of their victims, using them for all the can get and when they can extract no more, they discard their victim.
