Sun salutations are at the root of all vinyasa or flow classes. There are variations that most teachers teach the same way, so once you have them under your belt, you can rest assured that you will understand what to do when they come up in class.
This is a 20 minute continuous flow with three types of sun salutations peppered in. If you don't know the basics of flow, the poses are not broken down for you in this video, so make sure to learn them first. If you are unfamiliar with chatarunga - which is seen over and over again in sun salutations, please go to my 'How to Do Chatarunga' video.
Repetition is a great way to drop into a mindful state, so I love using sun salutations at the beginning of all of my classes.
If you prefer music in the background, you can always add it for your enjoyment.
