1970 Adler J2 typewriter at work
Here, with apologies for the dappled late-afternoon light, is one of my favorite vintage portables, the Adler J2. The font you see here is Pica Cubic, and the impression on the sheet is wonderful. The user interface of the Adlers is wonderful: after very little time you're no longer thinking about the machine, just about what it is you want to say.
