Halifax Citadel
August 22, 2023 -- The Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is located in the heart of downtown Halifax, and I was lucky to visit when the 78th Highlanders and the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery were practicing for an upcoming parade. The tour of the citadel grounds allows you to step back to 1869 and immerse yourself in the social and military history of Halifax. You also get a commanding view of Halifax Harbour from this strategic hilltop fort.
