Tidal Bore Rafting
September 12, 2023 -- Before leaving Nova Scotia, I had to experience this one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure. As 160 billion tonnes of water rushes back into the Bay of Fundy, there is only so much space for it to travel and therefore the great tides reverse the flow of rivers that typically flow into the bay. Derrick at Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures was our guide for our tidal bore rafting trip, and he made sure to find the best standing waves in the river. Needless to say, we were drenched throughout most of the trip.
