♥ RICE WITH SAUSAGE:
1/2 Chopped Onion
1/4 Green Bell Pepper
2 Tomatoes (chopped) without Seeds
1 Carrot (chopped)
1 Cup of Rice (raw)
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Pinch of Turmeric
1/8 Teaspoon of Ground Cumin
1/8 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
500g of Tuscan Sausage
2 cups of water or beef broth
1/2 cup of Corn
Parsley (to taste)
♥ IMPORTANT ♥
CUP SIZE: 240ml
RICE: The rice used was long-grain rice; if you use brown rice, it will take longer to cook, about 7 minutes, but it depends on the brand!
SAUSAGE: You can use any type you want, even calabrese sausage, and it will cook while the rice cooks, so you can add it raw!
VEGETABLES: Add whatever you like, but for pressure cooking, harder ingredients like carrots, potatoes, beets, etc. are ideal. If it's a more delicate ingredient, I recommend adding it at the end and covering the pot so the residual heat finishes cooking it on its own.
STORAGE: Consume within 5 days, and to freeze, remove the bell pepper and freeze for a maximum of 30 days!
♥ Tuscan Sausage with Sweet and Sour Sauce:
500g Tuscan Sausage
1 cup (tea) Pineapple Syrup
1/2 cup (tea) Ketchup
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Chopped Ginger
1/2 teaspoon Chopped Garlic
1 cup (tea) Water
2 tablespoons Vinegar
2 cloves
1 green bell pepper (diced)
1/2 onion (cut into petals)
1 cup (tea) Canned Pineapple (diced)
Chives (chopped)
♥ IMPORTANT ♥
CUP SIZE: 240ml SAUSAGE: You can use any type, but remember to parboil them. Before!
PINEAPPLE: You can use fresh pineapple if you want; in that case, I recommend taking a slice and blending it with water in a blender along with 4 tablespoons of sugar.
KETCHUP: You can use tomato paste instead, in which case it would be 2 tablespoons, but you will need to add sugar to the recipe to adjust!
VINEGAR: Here I used white wine vinegar, but any kind will do! And if your pineapple is very acidic, don't use vinegar!
SERVE WITH: White rice or Gohan, but it's also delicious with pasta!
STORAGE: Consume within 5 days, and to freeze, I recommend removing the bell pepper from the recipe and freezing for a maximum of 30 days!
