Today, in our sports encyclopedia series we will talk about Eagle Ball.
The game Eagle Ball was originally called Smash Ball, but due to copyright claims, it was changed into eagle ball.
The game shares a lot of similarities with softball and the objective of the game is to score more points than the opponent.
The game is played on the same field as softball with all the similar markings and positions.
The game is played with balls, bats, and mitts.
The major difference between softball and eagle ball is that in eagle ball the field is divided into half and there is no pitching.
In eagle ball, the batsman throws the ball upwards in the air and then strikes it with the bat.
The Player must hit the ball between the second and third base.
Each team has five to seven players.
The game begins with the batter standing at home plate and tossing the ball into the air before swinging his bat to hit the ball and run.
Games last about 30 minutes.
The players from the defense team have a first base man and all the other fielders are positioned between 2nd and 3rd base.
The batsman gets out if he:
a. Misses the ball
b. The ball falls on the ground left of 3rd base or right of 2nd base.
c. A fielder catches the ball in the air.
d. The first base man catches the ball ahead of the runner.
e. The ball stops rolling before reaching the outfield grass.
The batsman scores run if he steps on first base ahead of the ball.
In each inning, every player gets a chance to bat once.
The team that has more runs on the scorecard at the end of the game is declared as the winner.
