How to Use Rat & Mouse Bait Stations
Before you select a bait station, identify what pest you're dealing with. If you have house mice or deer mice, choose mouse bait stations. If you have rats, you'll want something larger with higher bait capacity.
Once you've acquired your bait stations, put on the proper personal protective equipment (PPE). You'll need at least gloves to prevent direct contact with the rodenticide bait and to prevent yourself from leaving any human scent.
Open your stations with the included key, then load them with your rodenticide bait. If your stations came with rods, set the bait onto the rods and snap them in place.
Close your stations and set them where you've seen rat or mouse activity. Make sure the stations openings are against the wall, so rats and mice will more easily navigate to where the rodenticide bait is kept.
Check your stations once a week to clean or replenish bait. Continue to set stations until your infestation has been dealt with. Once your infestation has been completely eliminated, clean your stations thoroughly with water.
