Hiking Telescope Peak in Death Valley-Highest peak in the Penamint Range
This was an April 2021 hike to the top of Telescope Peak, named because...well...just go hike it and find out!!! The trail is about an 8 mile round trip hike depending on where you start. We met Badwater John who started from the floor of Death Valley and RAN to the top!. Thats over 11,000 gain!.
The cool thing about this area is that there is the oldest trees, the hottest temps, the lowest elevation in the US, the biggest trees, and the tallest mountain in the US all within 100 mile radius.
Its a drive to get out there but its beautiful!
