SOLO Guitar Build
Here is a short building process for a SOLO guitar kit B-stock ordered from Solo Guitars in Canada. Cool company with lots of options for people who like making a mess in their garage.
I used sumi ink and some oil paint for the green sunburst and finished with wipe on poly wet sanded between coats. Wish I would have used a wood grain filler but who's got the time right? I was going for a kind of PRS knock off look.
Materials Used
Sumi ink to darken the wood grain, then sanded back
Pthalo Green and Prussian Blue oil paint thinned and stained multiple times.
Finished with Wipe on Poly. After about 5 coats of poly I began wet sanding with 800 grit paper. Then finished with about 3 more coats then polished with car polish (all I had laying around)
