Canon 16mm RF 2.8 First Impressions + Test Footage
Here is some test footage from the 16mm rf on a Canon R6.
I didn't want to do anything too fancy just shoot in natural light in changing environments. Disneyland provided a fun proving ground. I originally had the 35mm F1.8 and exchanged it for the 16mm. The 35mm was awesome but I wanted something wider.
Settings
Most of the footage was shot in 4k @24p.
The slow motion was shot in 4k @60fps.
I downsampled to HD for youtube.
Some of the night shots I pushed the ISO up past 8000. You can see the noise. In good light the AF is reliable, when its darker it starts guessing.
I used Lumetri to do color. I only added a few adjustments: curves, contrast, saturation, etc...
