Steps
Apply the RGB Color Balance Effect to the clip you’d like to add the VHS Effect to.
Then alt+click and drag that layer to duplicate it twice.
Go into the effects controls panel on the top layer and change the green and blue values to 0. Set the blending mode to screen.
Go to the second layer and change the Red and Blue values to 0. Also set blending mode to screen.
Go to the bottom layer and change the red and green values to 0.
Offset the position values on the top layer only two or three values.
Offset the position values on the second layer only two or three values in the opposite direction as the top layer.
Download a VHS overlay from this link http://www.anfx.co/motion-graphics/bl... you may need to scale it down if you’re working with 1080 seeing as the overlay is in 4k. Set the blend mode to screen.
Finally, add an adjustment layer above everything else and apply a crop effect. Crop left and right both 10% then change the edge feather value to 20.
