These ancient Asiatic antler-objects protected tombs and such.

The Musée Guimet is usually about 9 or ten euros to get into, although the Buddhist pagoda garden, which is tiny but very nice, is free. You can visit for the entire museum free the first Sunday of each month. There is a nice restaurant in the place, it's a beautiful old building, and it's near the Eiffel Tower and many other attractions and sights. The closest métro is Iéna, and Trocadéro is also in the area.

I don't think it ought to matter whether you are interested in "Eastern" things or not if you consider a visit here. This is several floors of rare and beautiful things, the documentation is pretty good, and I always feel surprised when I visit -- and glad I made the effort and took the chance. If you DO have an interest in "Eastern" things, this will be a BONANZA for you. I've also never seen it crowded and it's very peaceful.
