These amusing, often old, "clip-art" type images are presented as wallpaper at MACVAL, the museum of contemporary art for the Val-de-Marne département just beyond the Paris, France border. You can get to this very large, ever-changing, very welcoming museum located in Vitry-sur-Seine from Paris by bus, tramway or both. It is free the first Sunday of each month. It is not costly, otherwise. There is a restaurant here during the week (I do not recall the closing days, so check in advance for this museum) and the place is accessible and babies and children don't seem to be any sort of a problem here.

I've always liked unusual wallpapers, coverings, stencils, stamps, treatments, et c. and I think this wallpaper would be fun for a W.C. (toilet -- they are usually separate from the "water room" in France, if there even is a regular bathroom).

A kind of labyrinth was nearby, with other art on display, of course. This artist, whose work I've seen before, likes to do gazebo-like structures which trick the eye with color, mirrors and confusion about what is there and you can walk through and what is, in fact, impeding you.
This must have been my fourth or fifth visit to this museum over the past few years. I find it oddly cheerful and never know what to expect here.
