Rodent Rock: Multi-species Scent Post
Here at Rodent Rock, yellow-bellied marmots and golden-mantled ground squirrels (GMGS) scent mark by rubbing their cheek glands on that little knob that you see the marmot rub its face on in the first clip.
Multiple species use the boulder but I couldn't see for certain if anyone other than marmots and GMGS scent mark. Also note that an elk calf licks the knob that the rodents scent mark.

Chipmunk
Flying squirrel
Bushy-tailed woodrat
Camera spot chosen because we noticed an accumulation of marmot scat on the boulder so we know it was used as a resting or lookout rock by marmots.
