Hotkeys
M for making markers.
Alt + Click on the marker to drag it out.
~ to maximize any panel your mouse is over.

Tips
Using timecode to navigate the source panel, program panel, or sequence can save so much time. Also it’s helpful to use the timecode to locate specific sound bites in an interview or press conference, or good b-roll shots.
You can also use markers to better organize your interviews/press conference, or good b-roll shots. Also, Alt + Click to make markers larger and put in comments to make them easier to find later on.
Duplicate sequences if there are several different directions you're considering to edit your video. You can also do this to create a backup sequence if there is multiple editors working on the same project.
Right click at the top of the project panel and click on Metadata Display this will open the metadata menu which helps you customize the way you can organize your elements within the project panel.
Open up multiple timelines and click and drag them next to each other. This will allow you to move elements from one timeline to another really easily. You can also organize different b-roll onto other timelines by dragging and drop clips from one timeline to another.
