In this video, I demonstrate my entire wrist mobilization routine. Follow along and mobilize with me! By the end of this video, your wrists will be ready for Animal Flow, hand balancing, or other bodyweight exercises. You may even be able to shoot cobwebs outta them too!
We will be doing each drill for 30 to 60 seconds. I’ve got my eye on the time and I'll be coaching you through the whole routine.
Wrist mobility exercises and stretches are an important tool for anyone who is into bodyweight training, hand balancing, and of course, Animal Flow.
The wrists are a complex joint full of bone, ligaments, connective tissue, muscles and nerves. It has multiple ranges of movement—flexion and extension (moving the palm backward or forward relative to the forearm), adduction and abduction (moving the hand from side to side). The wrists weren’t specifically designed to take the entire weight of our bodies for extended periods of time. However, when properly trained and mobilized, they will become strong and flexible and resilient AF.
