Cyclone Gulab-Shaheen began in the Bay of Bengal in late September, gaining the name Gulab. Gulab made landfall in India as a Tropical Storm and after that it crossed the country over to the Arabian Sea where it began to reorganize, the IMD gave it a new name of Shaheen as it gathered organization. As the storm continued west, now named Shaheen strengthened into a Cyclone in early October and made its way towards Oman where it made landfall there as a Category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. After that, the system rapidly weakened and turned to a remnant low on October the 4th.
