Those of little understanding among people say, “What has turned them from Jerusalem,
the Qiblah that the Jews used to follow? Say, “To God belongs East and West.
He guides to the straight path whoever wills (to be guided).”
[‘They’ = Jews.
Qiblah قبلة = Center of devotion = Symbol of uniform Ideology = Center for the unity
of mankind = Deen = System of Life. The Children of Israel have considered
Jerusalem as their Center of devotion but the Jews always believed in a tribal
god and, hence, a tribal center. But God is the Lord of all humanity. He makes
no distinction between Jews and Gentiles. And the Qur’an invites all mankind to
become one community. His Final message is not confined to a particular tribe,
nation or group of people. Ka’bah erected by Abraham, the first ever House of
monotheism, has always been the Qiblah for all humanity. 2:213, 3:96, 4:170,

﴿۞ سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلَّاهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُوا عَلَيْهَا ۚ قُل لِّلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ ۚ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ﴾
[ البقرة: 142]
2:142
کم عقل لوگ کہیں گے کہ ان لوگوں ( مسلمانوں کو ) کس چیز نے یہود کے قبلہ (مرکز) سے پھیر دیا ہے۔ کہہ دیجئے مشرق اور مغرب سب اللہ کے ہیں وہ ہر شخص کو راہنمائی بخشتا ہے جو راہ نمائی چاہے۔
یروشلم کو اہل یہود اپنا قبلہ سمجھتے تھے اور غیر یہود کوکم تر جانتے تھے لیکن اللہ کی نگاہ میں قوموں قبیلوں کی تفریق کچھ حیثیت نہیں رکھتی ۔ اللہ کے آخری پیغام کے تحت اولین قبلہ تو کعبہ ہے جو ابراہیم اور اسمعیل نے بنایا تھا۔ اور وہ اتحاد انسانی کا مظہر بن کر رہے گا۔

kam aqal log kahin ge ke un logon ( musalmanoon ko ) kis cheez ne yahood ke qibla ( markaz ) se phair diya hai. keh dijiye mashriq aur maghrib sab Allah ke hain woh har shakhs ko rahnumaiye bakhshta hai jo raah namai chahay .
Yaroshallam ko ahal yahood apna qibla samajte thay aur ghair yahood ko kum tar jantay thay lekin Allah ki nigah mein qomon qabeelon ki tafreeq kuch hesiyat nahi rakhti. Allah ke aakhri pegham ke tehat awleen qibla to kaaba hai jo ibrahim aur asmayl ne banaya tha. aur woh ittehaad insani ka Mazhar ban kar rahay ga .
