We have seen your eagerness (O Messenger), therefore, We will certainly make you control and administer the Qiblah that is dear to you (for its Sublime objective).
Keep your purpose focused on the Masjid of Security, and all of you believers,
wherever you are, keep your purpose focused toward it. Those who have been
given the scripture before know that this (revelation) is the truth from their
Lord. God is not unaware of what they do.
[The verse is not commanding
people to turn their faces, as usually misunderstood. See 2:177.
Wajh = Face = Countenance = Whole being = Purpose.
Qiblah = Direction = Center of devotion = Masjid of Security = Source of peace and security for all humanity = The Symbol of a uniform Ideology = Symbol of pure Monotheism = Source of the unity of mankind. Ka’bah has been the Center of devotion for all humanity ever since it was erected by Prophets Abraham and Ishmael. 2:142, 2:213, 3:96, 4:170, 6:91-92, 7:158, 10:19, 12:104, 21:107, 22:49, 34:28, 38:87, 57:25, 114:1]
﴿قَدْ نَرَىٰ تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ ۖ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا ۚ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۚ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ ۗ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 144]
2:144
(اے رسول !) ہم تمہاری شدت آرزو اور جذبہ وشوق دیکھ رہے ہیں لہٰذا ہم تمہیں اسی قبلہ کی طرف رخ کرنے کا حکم دیں گے جس کو تم پسند کرتے ہو۔ اب اپنا چہرہ اور توجہ مسجد الحرام کی طرف رکھو۔ بےشک جن لوگوں کو پہلے کتاب دی گئی ہے۔ وہ خوب جانتے ہیں کہ یہ ان کے رب کی جانب سے یہ وحی و برحق ہے۔ اللہ بےخبر نہیں ہے ان کاموں سے جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔
[ وجھہ = چہرہ، مکمل وجود، قبلہ
= مرکز فکر و عمل
= نظریہ ( آئیڈیا لوجی) اور توحید کی علامت
= انسانیت کے اتحاد کا مظہر۔
اس آیت میں صرف چہرے پھیرنے سے مراد نہیں۔ دیکھئے 12:177

( ae rasool! ) hum tumhari shiddat arzoo aur jazba vshoq dekh rahay hain lehaza hum tumhe isi qibla ki taraf rukh karne ka hukum den ge jis ko tum pasand karte ho. ab apna chehra aur tawajah masjid alhram ki taraf rakho. be shak jin logon ko pehlay kitaab di gayi hai. woh khoob jantay hain ke yeh un ke rab ki janib se yeh wahi o barhaq hai. Allah be khabar nahi hai un kamon se jo woh karte hain .
[ وجھہ = chehra, mukammal wujood, qibla
= markaz fikar o amal
= nazriya ( idea loji ) aur toheed ki alamat
= insaaniyat ke ittehaad ka Mazhar .
is aayat mein sirf chehray phairnay se morad nahi. dekhye 12 : 177
