Cutting a radius on a manual mill? No problem!

Here are some tips:

1. Keep the cuts light. I used .010"/.25mm depth of cut on this 1/2" mild steel bar.

2. Don't climb mill! Try it on a light pass and you'll see why really quick.

3. Keep your lever long, 18"/450mm or more if possible. You can always start with bar stock and then cut down to size to finish your part after this step. You could also bolt a handle on if your part allows.

4. Line one axis up with the centerline of your pivot and only move in that direction (the X axis in my case).

5. Go slow and have fun!
