I tricked my label maker into printing this!
This is how I hacked my cheap label maker to print on heat shrink tubing!
The manufacturer doesn't want you to know this because they want you to buy the next tier of label maker, but these printers can be tricked into printing on heat shrink tubing.
The holes in the cassette tell the label maker what type of label is in use. The third switch is supposed to be pressed when the cassette is present, so having a hole there tells the label maker that there's no cassette installed. Regular laminated labels print mirrored since they use two layers, so that's what the other two holes indicate. If you cover up the wrong holes, your text will print backwards!
