Release stiffness throughout the back and build deep core strength to feel more centered and stable in your own body.
The thoracic spine (area connected to the rib cage) creates a stable base for the neck and shoulders. An immobile thoracic spine forces the lower back, shoulders and neck to work harder. Over time, this can exaggerate rounding in the upper back, and lead to discomfort and complications above (cervical spine, neck) and below (lumbar spine, lower back). Core strength (think deep core strength) can also help take some pressure off the lower back, making you feel more stable and free to move in all directions.
