Andrew Cronshaw Interview (7/21/24)
Andrew Cronshaw is an English musician, zither player, multi-instrumentalist, producer, sound engineer and music journalist who has been playing and recording since the early 70’s. Andrew has drawn on world-wide influences in traditional and roots-based music. Listeners to Mr. Cronshaw’s music will at times be connected to the early folk traditions of England, Scotland, Spain, Serbia, Croatia and Poland. More recently he has found an enduring affinity for the traditional music of Finland. Since 1974, Andrew has released 12 albums, including 2 with SANS, the band he leads. Over his career Andrew has played on many well-known artists’ albums as well as employing world renown musicians on his own releases. And Mr. Cronshaw has led a dual career as a world music journalist, writing reviews in several international publications.
