Gerson Conrad (Secos & Molhados, Zeze Motta, Trupi) Interview (8/3/24)
Gerson Conrad is a Brazilian singer, guitarist, composer and musician. He began his career in the group Secos & Molhados in 1973. The band also included Joao Ricardo and Ney Matogrosso. Gerson played on the band’s first 2 albums from 1973 and 1974. He then left the band and got together with lyricist Paulo Mendonca and actress and singer Zeze Motta and released the 1975 album Gerson Conrad e Zeze Motta. In 1981 came a second solo album, Rosto Marcado. Mr. Conrad would form his own group, Trupi, who have been playing together for over 20 years. In 2013 Gerson released the book “Meteorico Fenomeno – Memorias de Um Ex-Secos & Molhados”. Your 3rd solo album, Lago Azul, was released in 2018. And in 2020 came the EP, O Fio do Meu Destino, with 5 songs.
