Twenty long (2500 tokens) continuation sequences were generated from an original seed, both the seed and continuations by Giant Music Transformer Bulk Generator.

From the 20 long continuations, I selected only 2 to build the piece. Since I generate for piano only, the saxophone part is separated from the original in places, and written by me in other places. This piece took a lot of work, as simple as it sounds.

I changed notes, rearranged measures, modulated phrases, repeated phrases, cutting things out and doing all the performance refinements of accents, tempo changes, dynamics and sustain pedal.

The MIDI saxophone line underwent considerable refinement, fading long note endings and trying to make it sound more legato in places, a little more like a real saxophone.

Giant Music Transformer works in a similar manner to Allegro Music Transformer, for which I've made a tutorial:
   • How to Use Allegro Music Transformer -- a ...

Giant is faster than Allegro, and the bulk generator version of Giant allows a user to generate multiple continuations without overloading RAM, and it is less work since it can zip the files and download in one step. The zip feature is not in the directory to the left, but works like a regular cell. I do long continuations in sets of 20 though. In the regular version of Giant Music Transformer, only 16 can be done at a time, and then you have to click on them individually in the directory to download them. But if continuations are long, my 16GB of RAM isn't enough, so that's why I've been using the bulk generation to generate 10 cycles of 2 continuations, so 10 x 2 = 20.
