Kerplop Waltz -- composed using Quad Music Transformer
Quad is Alex's latest creation in a long line of AI sequencers. And it is fast, but I am going to continue working mostly with Giant Music Transformer for a while. Quad is good for choral and piano or chorus-alone music.
Twenty long continuations were generated from the original seed sequence, which was also generated by Quad, one of 900 seeds I generated this morning.
I used only 2 of the long continuation sequences of the 20 generated for the final piece. A lot of notes were changed. Even in a waltz like this, with no harmony in the melody line, AI tends to produce an almost continuous stream of notes -- no rests. So, I put all the rests in, removing many notes, changing notes, lengthening/shortening notes, changing tempos to make it more natural sounding, adding sustain pedal. And of course, the ending is distinctly mine. AI doesn't do endings like this.
