This is the second part of an audio interview with Eisaku (born 1955) and his fellow farmers from Ogahama, Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture.

The Ogahama district, which occupies about a quarter of Tomioka Town's area, remains sealed off (only the roads are passable) due to high levels of radiation contamination, even after 13 years. Finally, the government has declared that they will not decontaminate the homes of those who have no intention of returning.

From the beginning, decontamination of mountainous areas has been abandoned. Only areas within 20 meters of roads, houses, and farmland will be decontaminated. Furthermore, "houses that are not decontaminated" will be left untouched.

This means that even if people return to their homes, they will be surrounded by radioactive contamination.

Ogahama is about 4 kilometers from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Because it's on the same coastline, there are no shields, and people were directly exposed to high levels of radioactive material.

Families with young children would hesitate to return to such a dangerous place.

Their anger is evident in the audio interview.
