Inset Faces Tool
Shortcut: I.
Allows scaling a face inward (inset) or outward (outset).
Keyboard Options:
O: Toggles between inset and outset.
Ctrl: Fine-tune the inset or outset movement.
Examples:
Applied to a single face to create structures with step extrusions.
Used on multiple faces (e.g., UV sphere) with pivot points set to Individual Origins for unique results.
Applied to grid faces to create "holes" by insetting and deleting faces.
Bevel Tool
Shortcut: Ctrl + B.
Smoothens sharp edges or vertices by creating beveled corners.
Key Features:
Adjustable width to control the size of the bevel.
Segments increase to smooth the curve.
Shape Adjustment for custom profiles (e.g., rounded or concave bevels).
Edge vs. Vertex Beveling:
Use V to toggle between beveling edges or vertices.
Bevel Application:
In Edit Mode for specific geometry (destructive beveling).
As a Modifier for non-destructive and editable beveling.
