Sudheendra S G has 40 years of experience in 3D modeling and nonlinear editing.
Completed a course at the Film and Television Institute of India and started as a nonlinear editor on Grass Valley systems.
First encountered 3D modeling through Strata Studio on Mac and was impressed by its capabilities.
Associated with Philips, traveled to Tilburg and Amsterdam, and met Ton Roosendaal, who later founded Blender.
Blender became open-source in 2002 after a failed commercial attempt by Ton's company NaN.
From 1996, Sudheendra worked with 3ds Max and Maya, building models for companies like Bosch.
Began using Blender around 2010 as a learning tool and for game development, transitioning fully by 2018 after Blender 2.8’s release.
Blender helped him rejuvenate during a midlife crisis, and it has been his main production tool since 2018.
Excited to share his journey and experience with Blender in future sessions.
