Summary of Session on Using Primitives and Transform Tools in Blender
Setting Up the Scene:
Open the previous session file 01 Primitives.blend.
Enable Random Colors and Cavity to distinguish objects visually.
Selecting Objects:
Use A to select all objects, but it includes the camera and light.
Use Select → Select All by Type → Mesh to select only mesh objects.
Using Transform Tools:
G for Move (Graph), R for Rotate, S for Scale.
Example: Moving the cube along the Z-axis by 0.5 units.
Adding and Adjusting Primitives:
3D Cursor: Reposition using the View menu or Shift + Right-click.
Example: Place an Ico Sphere with a radius of 0.5 at a precise location.
UV Sphere vs. Ico Sphere: UV has segments and rings, Ico has triangular subdivisions.
Working with Cylinders:
Create pillars by adjusting radius, depth, and position.
Example: Set radius to 1, depth to 4, and move the cylinder along Z by 2 units.
Creating Complex Shapes:
Cone Primitive: Adjust segments to create pyramid-like shapes.
Torus: Modify major/minor segments to create a tire-like shape.
Using the Grid Primitive:
Grid is similar to a plane but includes segments (e.g., 4x4 grid).
Suzanne Monkey Primitive:
Added to demonstrate a complex primitive used for sculpting or testing.
Saving the File:
Save the project as 02 uncore Primitives.blend.
