The track of Tropical Storm Omais (2021)
Tropical Storm Omais was a long lasting tropical cyclone in the Western Pacific in August 2021. Reaching tropical storm status three times, firstly near the International Date Line, Omais miraculously avoided being given the Central Pacific name Hone. The storm then proceeded through the Ryukyu islands and shot through the channel passed between Japan and South Korea as it turned extratropical.
