Hurricane Lidia Landfall Imminent - Live Coverage Oct 10, 2023
Hurricane Lidia is rapidly intensifying as it nears the coast of Mexico this evening, and is now an extremely dangerous Category 4 on the Saffir Simpson Scale. Hurricane conditions are now expected in larger population areas such as Puerto Vallarta, which is still perched in the immediate strike zone of Lidia when it makes landfall later tonight.
Winds of up to 140 miles per hour (225kph) are possible along the coast, with heavy flooding rains spreading inland, and potentially a significant storm surge.
