Major Hurricane Lee has reached category 5 intensity in the open waters of the Atlantic as confirmed by reconnaissance aircraft. Luckily, this system is not expected to make landfall in any land areas, however, that does not rule out potential tropical storm impacts to the Leeward Islands.
