Defending the teep and countering the counter:
In this video you’ll see that I parry my opponent’s lead Teep with my lead arm.
As you get more experienced in your training you’ll learn to control your kicks if you miss. This is why you’ll see Rungchai not lose position too much after I’ve parried his kick.
Defending the front kick with my lead arm means I can be vulnerable to a straight right hand.
With that in mind I intercept his right cross with me left body kick. This works well because people leave their ribs exposed as they throw punches. Your leg is also long than their arm so as long as you’re kicking at the right distance and time…..you’ll be safe 😊👍
