Filament Liftoff (2/21/2024) - SolarHam.com
A large plasma rich filament located in the northwest quadrant lifted off beginning around 17:00 UTC (Feb 21, 2024). A coronal mass ejection (CME) is now emerging in the latest coronagraph imagery. Based on the trajectory, it would appear that the bulk of plasma should be well off the Sun-Earth line. A further update will be provided if necessary. Still an awesome looking event.
