X1.0 Solar Flare (1/10/2023) - SolarHam.com
Hyperactive sunspot region 3186 turning into view off the northeast limb just produced an X1.0 solar flare at 22:47 UTC (Jan 10). Unlike the other X-Flares from the past several days, this one may have hurled some plasma in the form of a coronal mass ejection (CME) into space. The problem is that the region is not yet directly facing Earth,. so any associated CME will likely be directed away from our planet. The region does appear to be in a growth phase, so it should be monitored for additional solar flares. SolarHam.com
