Filament Eruption (10/4/2022) - SolarHam.com
A nice filament eruption today (10/4/2022) in the Sun's southern hemisphere. The event which began around 13:30 UTC produced a coronal mass ejection (CME) that may possibly have a weak Earth bound component. Although much of the plasma was directed south of the Sun-Earth line, a CME tracking model will be required to determine if in fact we can expect any impacts. If so, only a minor jolt to our geomagnetic field should be expected. More updates regarding this whenever necessary.
