G'day guys, in this video we will be continuing the discussion on who are Jon Snow's parents, this time we take a look at the other possibilities.
In our previous video we detailed the theory of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark being Jon's real parent's but there are other possibilities as to his lineage. It is entirely possible that Ned was his real father and that he bedded a woman during the time of the Rebellion and created the Bastard of Winterfell.
The first likely candidate is sister to a famous Westerosi Knight and noble woman of House Dayne, her name was Ashara. She had violet eyes, long dark hair and was tall, her beauty was known throughout the realm and many men had become infatuated with Ashara.
Ashara was present at the Tourny of Harenhal, which was around the time of Jon's conception, here it is rumoured that Ashara bedded Ned, who had a keen interest in the beauty. It is also rumoured that she and Brandon had relations and there is even a small possibility that Brandon is Jon's father.
Another theory is that at the beginning of Robert's Rebellion, Eddard secretly traveled across the Bite in the North with a fisherman. Whilst in their travels a storm hit their ship and killed the fisherman and almost sunk the ship, but his surviving daughter manned the boat and successfully delivered Ned to the Sisters. Apparently Ned gave her a bag of gold and a left her pregnant with Jon.
The last probable Mother of Jon Snow is Wylla, a wet nurse which Robert Baratheon and many other believe is Jon's real mother. According to Catelynn, at the end of rebellion she rode to Winterfell and met Jon Snow along with his wet nurse and the theory states that this was Wylla. Ned claims to his family and friends that Jon is his son, born out of a relationship that he had whilst fighting in Robert's Rebellion.
