Written recipes below

Scones (Cherry and what to do for Rhubarb)
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup dried cherries (or fresh cherries, pitted and chopped)
Optional: 1 tablespoon heavy cream and 1 tablespoon coarse sugar for topping

Instructions:
1. **Preheat Oven**: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. **Mix Dry Ingredients**:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. **Cut in Butter**:
Add the cold butter pieces to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
4. **Prepare Wet Ingredients**:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
5. **Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients**:
Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture. Stir until just combined.
6. **Add Cherries**:
Gently fold in the dried or fresh cherries.
7. **Shape the Dough**:
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick.
8. **Cut the Scones**:
Cut the circle into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet. 9. **Optional Topping**:
Brush the tops of the scones with heavy cream and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired.
10. **Bake**:
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
11. **Cool and Serve**:
Allow the scones to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Note:
If you like to do Rhubarb the adjustments to recipe would be
dust the chopped rhubarb with 2 tablespoons of sugar before adding to mix
also the cook time you may have to bake longer because of the moisture in rhubarb. You may need 2-3 more minutes so keep an eye on them
