It's difficult to balance speaking about serious subjects and being funny but the dynamics of stand up comedy can be used to your advantage. Big subjects need special treatment and...time to pause...Comedians manage their content in order to create impact and The techniques and methods used by stand up comedians allow them to talk about the 'big things'. The careful use of comedy can be used as provocation, but also soften the introduction of difficult topics and so increase engagement with your ideas.
